Megan Fitzpatrick ANP-BC

I am a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and have over 20 years of experience working in health care. I graduated Hope College with my Bachelor's in Nursing and spent the next six years working in the hospital on an acute cardiology floor. While working as an R.N., I got my Master's in Nursing from the University of Michigan and  following graduation have been working as a Nurse Practitioner speciaIizing in diabetes.

Having worked cardiology in the hospital setting, I saw  firsthand how little time there was for health care education -- honestly, it was difficult to educate someone about the heart attack they had just experienced while in the hospital, meaning there was never any time to discuss chronic disease. When I graduated with my NP degree, I was looking forward to being able to work in chronic disease management. I was hoping to have the time to delve into education and really help people on their disease journey. When I found diabetes, it was a perfect fit. I finally had the time to spend working with patients, focusing on education,  health promotion, and growing in my diabetes knowledge along with them. The personal relationships I was able to form with my patients over years of working with them are absolutely the most rewarding and meaningful part of my job.

Tessa Krueger B.S.N.

I graduated from Trinity College with my Bachelor's in Nursing, and then spent the next 12 years working in the hospital, specializing in mother-baby medicine.

I am passionate about running and living my best, healthiest life ... and I am so excited to help you do the same.

I also have a film and media background in school, which has proven incredibly helpful in creating courses that we are proud of.

Kelly McKenzie RDN, LD

Hi! My name is Kelly McKenzie. I have been a Registered and Licensed Dietitian for over 12 years now! The bulk of my experience has been in the clinical setting where I worked with patients with diabetes daily. I was often the first encounter newly diagnosed diabetics had regarding how to eat with diabetes. I have heard “oh here comes the food police” countless times and it is always my goal to get my patients to smile and feel confident that they can make positive changes ... and to prove most of us dietitians got into the field because we love food, not because we want to take it away.

I was raised in Michigan and went to Michigan State University. I chose to apply to Dietetic Internships mostly in the south after graduation to get out of the snow for awhile … and I’ve been in South Carolina for 13 years now. I live in Greenville, South Carolina with my wonderful husband and two kids. I love trying new recipes, cross-stitching, reading and, most of all, helping people. I am excited to work with you!
